In the spirit of the holiday season, I’ve included a holiday gift guide for health lovers and eczema sufferers. The holidays are a perfect time to consider buying your loved ones (or yourself ;)) a holiday gift to start off the new year. I’ve compiled a list of things to help you start off your new year with health and happiness!
The Perfect Holiday Gift Guide 2013
If you’ve ever wanted to do a cleanse – this book will teach you the basics. When I was going through a lot of inflammation in my body, I was trying to discover how to “cleanse” my body of toxins and start to live healthier. The book has so many great reviews, and I have heard from my friends that they lost weight, had more energy, and felt better after following this. Even if you have eczema, you can benefit from this because following a clean diet of juicing and eating healthy like this will help you fight inflammation. You should definitely notice a difference in your eczema and overall health. 🙂
Having a humidifier like this one is always extremely beneficial when it comes to the winter months. I especially like this one because of all the great reviews that I keep hearing and reading about it. There’s plenty of claims that say it has helped dry skin (especially with eczema in the winter months), dry stuffy nose, plus – it also has an antimicrobrial treated filter, and it has a 99.9% germ free mist which kills up to 99.9% of bacteria, mold & spores in water with its its germ killing chamber technology!
Epsom Salts are wonderous for anybody! If you haven’t started this routine yet, epsom salts are wonderful for soaking in baths. Epsom salts are miraculous in helping to soothe muscle aches, pains, soothe irritated skin, benefit eczema, help flush out toxins, and improve absorption of nutrients. Because it is made from magnesium sulphate, it can even help to reduce stress and relax your body. Some people even claim that they were using topical steroids to soothe their itchy skin, but once they switched over to natural epsom salts, the results were great!
If you haven’t yet heard of Avène spring water – or spring water in general – it’s amazing! If you could switch from drinking tap water to spring water you would notice tremendous hydration and health benefits! Loaded with healing minerals, Avène even has a hydrotherapy center in the South of France where people who have skin issues and eczema head there for a 3-week treatment to get spring water therapy, and many have come back with healed skin! Avène Spring Water is beneficial for eczema, dry skin, irritated skin, acne, scarring, or even if you just have regular skin. Try it – it’s wondrous!
If you haven’t yet read our Nutribullet review here, or you don’t currently use a blender or juicer – the Nutribullet is a great choice for blending everyday things. It’s easy to use and it’s a great habit to kickstart you into starting your day with a smoothie (if you haven’t already). Getting into the daily habit of drinking smoothies will help clear your body of toxins, help you lose weight, and help to alleviate the symptoms of eczema by detoxifying your body and provide nutrition to help your body heal (if you get into the habit of drinking it regularly).
The Nutribullet is BPA free and includes a power base, 1 tall cup, 2 short cups, 1 flat blade and 1 emulsifying blade, 2 re-sealable lids, pocket nutritionist and manual with recipes.
For the winter months, this healing balm is especially soothing and effective for dehydrated skin and all common skin conditions. With all natural ingredients, this balm naturally soothes itching, promotes healing, and rejuvenates your skin’s suppleness. Besides the great reviews that you can read here, it is also 100% NATURAL with no petroleum, parabens, phthalates or harsh chemicals. It is also fragrance free, gentle and safe enough for babies, kids and pregnant women.
This great thing is that this balm is “non-comedogenic” – meaning that it will not block pores of your skin. Enriched with hemp seed oil, organic shea butter, cocoa butter, and sweet almond oil, it has renowned skin-healing ingredients and can nourish and penetrate deeply enough to hydrate and regenerate skin cells. You can find natural relief for dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis,  sunburns, and diaper rash, by trying this here.
