Prior to doing this podcast, I never had much experience with candida and eczema or eczema parasites. Sure, I had heard of it and learned about it in school – but since doing this podcast, I went on a parasite cleanse with Jennifer (who has a wealth of knowledge. She’s a Clinical Nutritionist, a Nutrition Teacher, BASE Allergy Therapist & Live Blood Cell Analyst), who I interview in this podcast 🙂
Just to open up about my life in the last few months – many of you may not know, but last winter, I had actually experienced a flare up. I had no idea why. Being a holistic nutritionist, my diet was very pristine and I couldn’t figure out why my skin was getting worse. I was also embarrassed – because as someone who runs this eczema blog, I feel like so many of you look up to me as someone who’s been healed; so for me to go through a flare up, I was disappointed in myself and so discouraged.
Long story short – it was a really discouraging time for me. I cried (a lot), and I felt like I was fighting another battle again. It brought back so many memories of what you all go through. But, somehow, deep down inside of me, as painful as it was, I knew that I would overcome and conquer it – especially since I had done it once before.
I was so determined, and I knew I would fight to get through it all again….and I did.
It was a blessing in disguise, because I’ve learned so much more about eczema than I have before, and I can use it to help teach you all about what I learn.
I’m also really happy to announce that my skin is now better than ever! 🙂 Prayer (I trusted in God a lot!) and visualization (visualizing myself healed) helped the healing process. But, I also saw my naturopath (who I interviewed here), who did some muscle testing to figure out the root cause, and it turned out I was experiencing so much stress. We fixed that, but even though the rashes were gone, my skin was sooooo dry, scaly, and it felt so flaky.
I couldn’t figure out why it was so dry and flaky. In fact, I couldn’t remember a time when it wasn’t.
It wasn’t until after this podcast, that I decided to book an appointment with Jennifer because she was a wealth of knowledge. She did live blood cell analysis on me (see image below – basically you prick your finger to get a sample of blood and examined it through a microscope. You’d be surprised to see how much your blood tells you about your body and skin health!).
It turns out that my blood was showing signs of parasites (along with a few other issues), which was stopping my body from healing.
I ended up doing an 8 week parasite cleanse (boy, that was hard). I flared up while doing it, and when I ate sugar, it made it even worse. There were times it was so unbearable that I just cried and cried.
But once I finished the 8 week parasite cleanse and started a drainage protocol (i.e. draining my livers and kidneys of toxins) and repairing my gut (note: it can take months or years to repair a leaky gut!), my skin healed like crazy!
This isn’t my actual blood sample – but this is an example of what a blood sample would look like using live cell blood analysis.
In fact, soooo much of the dryness and flakiness that I had struggled with for so long just disappeared. My skin is still healing from dryness (as it’s always been my biggest struggle and it’s something I’ve suffered with for a long time), but Jennifer mentioned that the parasites were stopping my body from healing itself.
I’m only on week 3 of my gut healing and drainage protocol – but so far, I’ve seen great results. Every morning when I wake up, my skin is literally healing and getting so much softer.
It feels so wonderful.
And because of this, I hope you’ll tune into this podcast, because you’ll definitely learn a lot. (You may even need to listen to this podcast more than once just to soak it all in).
Happy listening!
P.S. I also hope to encourage you that while I’m not perfect – I’m like you, still learning about my body/skin, and how to keep it healed and healthy. My goal is to provide you with content so that you can empower yourself to heal 🙂 I believe you can heal – so don’t give up!

Hi Abby,
I’m interested in the treatment you did with Jennifer, parasite cleanse and the treatment after that. I looked on her site “healnaturally.ca” but there is nothing particularly about this. My adult son started having eczema suddenly last year, for “no reason” and we are trying to find a solution for it. I suspected parasites so when I found you on You Tube, I thought “this is it!”. We are in Switzerland, so we can’t visit Jennifer easily 🙂
We will be grateful if you could provide us with some info about it…
Thank you so much!
All the Best,
Izzy
