…..I can’t believe 2014 is almost coming to an end already!
How was your year?
I thought this would be a good time to reflect on it (and also share the most popular posts from 2014!).
Oh boy, it’s definitely been a crazy year for me!
At the top of my head, so much has happened: I got married, bought a new house, found a new job, went on honeymoon to Jamaica, and even took a vacation to Italy! Ahhh. It has been a stressful (but a fun year!), especially with wedding planning. Like they say, these are your prime years, so I think I definitely accomplished a lot this year 🙂

Our DIY wedding 🙂
I’ve also been struggling a bit because although I definitely do not have severe eczema anymore, some of it did come back this year after I got married (probably from the stress, argh!), and another thing I’ve been struggling with is really dry skin. So it’s something I am constantly working on. You guys aren’t alone in this battle field because I’m right there with ya 😉
Aside from that, I’ve officially been married for 6 months now!!!! Yay 🙂 It’s been a great change so far. From living on my own for 10 years to finally living with someone else, has been…so lovely! It’s nice to have someone cook for you and take care of you when you come home feeling so tired.
But without further ado, let’s talk about the top 10 most popular posts of 2014! If you missed any of them, you can check them out here.
The 10 Most Popular Posts of 2014
1. How I Overcame Severe Eczema When Doctors Said There Was No Cure
Wow…this is one of the very first blog posts I wrote for this blog. With close to 50 comments now, I never realized that being open about my story and being so vulnerable to you would help give so many people hope. Thank you SO much for reading, being a part of my unfolding story, and for letting my story be a source of encouragement to you.
2. Why Healing Your Gut Will Improve Your Eczema
This was one of the first videos I ever made (when I was still camera shy) 🙂 I am so passionate about the link between gut health and eczema – simply because your gut is a reflection of how healthy your skin is too. I’ve done lots of research on this topic and I hope it helps you.
3. Why Topical Steroid Withdrawal May Be Causing Your Eczema Flare Ups
With the increase in Topical Steroid Withdrawals occurring in more people, I published this guest post to help bring more awareness to it, and to also help bring some solutions to help people deal with it. I hope that this post will help and encourage you!
4. Diet & Eczema: Part 2 – How to Use Anti-Inflammatory Foods to Cure Eczema Naturally
This was one of the first posts I wrote, and it was after I became a nutritionist that I wrote this. I had learned so much about food (anti-inflammatory foods, especially!), that I just needed to share with the world what I learned. When used correctly, anti-inflammatory foods can really make a difference in your life.
5. What are the Best Body Moisturizers for Eczema?
I really loved writing this post because I’ve tried so many different types of moisturizers! After putting so many bad ingredients into my body for decades, I wanted to share with other readers a more natural solution that’s healthy for your body and also good for you! I share my favourite types of moisturizers in this post.
6. How the Elimination Diet Naturally Cured My Severe Eczema
In this post, I share the details of what I did during my elimination diet to help my flare up go away. It was so worth doing it, and it really changed my life! Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see results yet in 2-3 months time. Each person is different. Make sure you work with a certified health practitioner before you pursue any health or supplement plan, so that they can walk with you through it.
7. Dating when you have eczema
This is one of my absolute favourite posts – because I filmed this video (and worked on this post) with my hubby 🙂 It meant so much to me! I know it encouraged a lot of people, and I know some of my readers even told me that they cried while watching it and it gave them hope. I hope that our dating/marriage experiences will give you some insight into how we handled it.
8. The Eczema Podcast #1: How to Prepare for a Diet Change
This was one of my greatest accomplishments of the year! I had been longing to launch this podcast for a long time, and one day, I just decided to do it. It’s a lot of work looking for new guests to interview, but I love connecting with them, interviewing them, and learning so many new things during my interviews. I hope you benefit from it, as much as I have!
9. Laura and Cynthia’s Eczema Success Story
Ahhhh – what’s more amazing than writing a post, is when you write a blog post about your eczema readers achieving healing! 2 of my readers had been following my blog for a year or so, and they applied some of the changes and found so much healing. I’m so grateful for them! One of them even told me that they had to quit their job because their eczema got so bad. I had given her advice, and a few months later, she contacted me again and told me she applied the changes I suggested, and she was back to working because her eczema had gotten so much better! This is what I live for, and I love stories like this.
10. Curing Eczema Naturally: Aidan’s Story
Aidan’s story is absolutely encouraging and wonderful. His mom has been very dedicated to helping him find relief through the Avène Hydrotherapy Center. Give it a read and I hope you find encouragement as well!
That’s a wrap up for the most popular posts for 2014!
I can’t believe how much I’ve learned and how many eczema healing success stories I’ve seen in the last year. Don’t give up hope – and I hope the posts I write will continue to be a source of encouragement to you.
Best wishes and may your 2015 be a spectacular one. 🙂
P.S. I’m also launching an ebook in 2015 – so stay tuned for that!
Love,
Abby xo
