I have a super easy and quick gluten free pizza (that’s also delish!) for you to make, on those days when you just need a simple and guilt-free meal. This only took an astounding 15 minutes to make (including prep and cook time).
And the best thing? You can choose to put as many toppings as you want on it, and it’s a fun activity to make with friends, with your kids, or even for a couple to make on a date night 😉
To save you time – you can buy a ready made pizza crust like I did, or you can make your own. Udi’s gluten free pizza offers a cheap pizza crust that’s quick to make (note: I’m not a fan of all gluten free products, since “gluten free” doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s healthier.)
Simply start by taking the crust, and putting your base on it. You can either use tomato sauce or pesto sauce as a base. We used Eden Organic’s Crushed Tomato sauce for the base.
…then start chopping your ingredients!
We used zucchini’s, green peppers, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes (which we cut in half), – and of course, cheese! I prefer organic cheese since it doesn’t come with the antibiotics and hormones 😉 (Also if you’re vegan, there are also vegan cheese options available out there).
When you’re done chopping up and washing all your ingredients (which doesn’t take long) – here comes the fun part!
Start sprinkling your toppings over your pizza crust. I did this with my friends and we all had a blast laughing at what we each put on our pizzas. I have a habit of filling and overloading my pizza with a lot of delicious toppings so that I can get more in one bite, but you can feel free to put as much as you want on yours.
You don’t have to choose the same toppings as I did, but the key is to be creative and have fun with it.
Lastly, I topped my pizza off with cheese (you can choose any cheese of your choice – whether it be cheddar, mozzarella, or some other form of cheese) and baked it in the oven. My oven baked very fast, so the pizza crust was already turning a golden crispy brown in 5-7 minutes!
Bake until your crust turns crispy golden brown and be careful not to over-bake it, or else it will burn.
..and the final product, with your wonderful cheese melted all over it in the oven.
If you’re looking for a simple, quick and easy recipe to make – this is for you.
Enjoy! 😉
This sounds easy and yummy Abby! Thank you for sharing!!!!! 😀
