Today I’m so excited to share this episode with you because I interviewed a wonderful guest who has helped me so much with the emotional aspect of my healing journey. It has been so life changing and I’m so glad that my guest can share this on today’s show!
TODAY’S EPISODE
In today’s episode, you’ll learn all about how rejection, trauma, and stress may be causing your eczema. Our guest on today’s show is Dr. Nima Rahmany, a chiropractor and Mental & Health Optimization Coach who discovered that most illnesses stem from a past traumatic event.
After 15 years as a chiropractor, Dr. Nima found that most of his patients came to see him for various issues that stemmed from stress. However, he became increasingly frustrated when chiropractic care alone could not address why people got sick, stressed, and stuck. He became determined to find a solution.
Fascinated by the various healing methodologies he had studied for more than 20 years, he formulated The Overview Method™. Today, he dedicates his life to studying and teaching principles of healing the mind and body to overcome stress. He spread his message through speaking and working in one-on-one sessions with people across the globe.
——
I can personally attest to how powerful his method is at helping to overcome trauma and stress in the body. It was really a life changing consultation for me, because it changed the way that I looked at the past traumas in my life.
To give you an example of the impact that it had on me, a few days before I had a consultation with Dr. Nima, my skin had been reacting to foods (even healthy ones). The moment that Dr. Nima did the Overview Method with me, my body had stopped reacting for the first time in a long time.

I want you to ask yourself:
What triggered your skin to have it’s first flare up?
If you look deeply about your eczema journey – you’ll often notice that something triggered it to flare up severely along the way.
Do you remember what triggered it for you?
This might be one of the first times I’ve ever shared this in public, but my eczema flared up severely when my first boyfriend broke up with me when I was 15 years old.
He was the love of my life at the time.
After that, I scratched so much that it became a form of self-abuse for me. It helped me feel better…but it also became an outlet for me that I used as a form of “self-harm” when I didn’t like a part of myself (even writing this is making me feel very emotional).
After that, the eczema became so severe that I feel like it ruined my entire high school life. Ever since then, whenever I’ve gotten into relationships, I would notice that my skin would flare at the beginning of a new relationship. I was so traumatized by the rejection that I was always afraid that my partner would leave me in the relationship.
This story was something that I replayed in my head over and over again for over a decade without even realizing it. I didn’t even realize that the underlying trauma was still there, until I did a consultation with Dr. Nima.
Because of this event, I was full of fear of rejection, I felt unworthy and I felt like I was not good enough.
I had no idea that having eczema led me to believe that I was:
- Not beautiful enough
- Gross (because…who likes seeing scars/rashes and flakes on them?!)
- Resentful
- Different (I never felt “normal” like other people did)
- Victimized
I was always full of low self esteem and because of the trauma I had gone through, I told myself these lies that I was never good enough in any way.
Even though I had been practicing so many affirmations each day, I guess I had not been feeling “great” about myself and I didn’t even realize it!
It was only until I changed my story, that it had finally helped me to change my perspective. Dr. Nima helped me balance my perspective of what had happened to me when I was 15 and he helped change my story of how I viewed it.
After my consultation with Dr. Nima, he finally helped me see that eczema had actually helped me in so many ways in life.
For instance, if I didn’t have eczema, I wouldn’t have realized that:
- It gave me more compassion & empathy for others
- Taught me that I can rise above obstacles and overcome difficult situations
- It taught me more about eczema and health
- It has allowed me to help others more
- It helped me discover my passion for nutrition & health (without it, I wouldn’t have found my passion in life)
He also helped me see how having eczema was not necessarily the worst thing in my life. He changed my perspective on this. Afterwards, my heart felt 1 million times lighter and I was filled with gratitude and love for all that’s happened to me!
It was life changing.
One of my favourite speakers, Dr. John Demartini, also teaches that your pain will go down and healing will start to happen when you allow love and gratitude into your heart.
I love Dr. Nima’s Overview Method because it teaches you to see how your past traumas and stressors in life actually serve you and help you – instead of harm you. It may sound crazy – but healing can’t happen unless you change your story and release love, forgiveness and gratitude into your heart. You’ll learn more in this interview on how this works.
