Below are also some of my favourite products that I’ve compiled for you:
Eczema Moisturizer
Conqueror Soothing Dry Skin Balm
This product is 100% natural, hypo-allergenic & safe for anyone to use – including babies, children and pregnant women. You can use it on dry skin, eczema, burns, or even stretch marks. It includes calendula, aloe vera, coconut oil, cocoa butter, evening primrose oil, tea tree oil, and sea buckthorn oil – all which are healing, soothing and moisturizing for dry inflamed skin.
Manuka Honey Skin Cream:
I’m a huge fan of Manuka. It’s full of anti-bacterial properties (this cream contains active 16+ Manuka) to help reduce inflammation and fight open wounds. Manuka honey contains 1,000 times more methylglyoxal than other forms of honey (Methylglyoxal gives honey it’s anti-bacterial properties and makes it so beneficial for eczema).
Shea Butter (100%)
I use shea butter almost everyday! It’s thick, moisturizing, and all natural. It has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, and contains vitamins A, E, and F, to promote the healing of dry and inflamed skin. I wrote a blog post on it here.
Castor Oil (cold-pressed):
Once winter hits, I love using this oil! This oil is the thickest thing I’ve found to combat dry skin. It also heals scars, speeds up blood flow, is an anti-oxidant to fight aging, and helps hair (e.g. eyebrows/eyelashes) grow faster! Read my blog post on it here.
Coconut Oil:
I love using this for cooking and also on my body (whenever I come out of the shower). It’s rich in Caprylic acid (helps kill bacteria), Lauric acid, Vitamin K, E and Capric acid (contains antiviral properties). All of these help combat itchiness and help repair broken skin.
Jojoba Oil (cold-pressed):
Jojoba oil is thinner than the oils (but also more expensive). It’s produced from the seeds of jojoba plant and is rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins B and E, and minerals to restore the skin to a healthy condition. It’s great for using on the face, especially.
Calendula Ointment or Lyonsleaf Calendula Cream (I love!)
Calendula works wonders, and a little goes a long way! It benefits eczema by reducing inflammation, eliminating bacteria, and helping the skin heal. It is also antibacterial so it helps treat wounds. It also stimulates the production of collagen at wound sites (and minimizes scarring as well!). You can also click here to check out my review of the Lyonsleaf Calendula Cream.
Bodywash and Soap for Eczema
Dr Bronners Magic Pure-Castile Soap:
Dr Bronners Magic Pure-Castile Soap: This is the only body wash/soap I use on my skin because I love the ingredients in it! The soap uses organic extra virgin coconut, olive, jojoba and hemp oils. It’s non-irritating to the skin – but like all soaps, make sure to avoid your wounds, or it might sting Check my blog post here.
Emily Skin Soothers – Natural Body Wash for Eczema with Chinese Herbs:
This super-fatted liquid soap by Emily Skin Soothers is extra moisturizing, gentle for babies and adults. This liquid soap also works as a shampoo for eczema of the scalp or seborrheic dermatitis. It’s an all-natural product, with no “tear-free” chemicals added. It also soothes dry, sensitive skin, eczema, and psoriasis. The herbs used in this product are high quality and are from the Mayway Company, an American company that batch tests all of its herbs for contaminants, heavy-metals, and pesticides and does not use sulfur preservatives.
Grass Fed Tallow Soap (Paleo Skin Care)

If you haven’t heard – grass-fed tallow is incredibly healing and nourishing for people with eczema! It’s great for sensitive skin, allergy prone skin, and eczema. This soap bar is made with lye, water and grass fed tallow. It’s non-GMO, suitable for those on the Paleo and GAPS diet, and is sourced from grass fed and finished cows.
Gloves for Eczema
Eczema gloves for children & toddlers:
These are very soft gloves made from biodegradable bamboo to prevent children from scratching. Use these cooling bamboo gloves after applying cream (to lock in moisture at night) or to prevent contact dermatitis. You can even use them for dry or wet wrapping.
Eczema gloves for adults:
These bamboo gloves come in different sizes and are great for treating hand eczema, to prevent scratching, or as protection for contact dermatitis. They are incredibly soft and the cooling fabric is excellent for dry or wet wrapping as well.
Scratch Mittens for babies with eczema:
These Flip Mitten Sleeves will help prevent scratching and also aid in the healing of your child’s itchy skin. These mittens actually stay on and are also great for preventing scratching due to chickenpox, preventing chronic hair pulling, hair rubbing and to stop thumb sucking.
Humidifier for Eczema
Honeywell Germ Free Cool-Mist Humidifier:
I use a humidifier every night when fall/winter hits. It helps add extra moisture to prevent flare ups (heck, even using 2 humidifiers will make a huge difference!). I like this one because it has great reviews and it also kills up to 99.9% of bacteria, mold & spores.
Probiotics for Eczema
HMF Capsules, HMF Powder (usually better absorbed) or HMF Natogen for Babies:
If you’re looking for a strong, high quality probiotic supplement, this is it. This is the probiotic that most naturopaths recommend. This is also the probiotic that I used during my eczema flare up to help my skin and gut heal! Check out my post on the gut and skin correlation, click here
Jarrow Brand for adults or for kids:
This is a more affordable brand and it also has great reviews. It contains at least 10 billion CFU and will help to heal the gut. Make sure you rotate your probiotics so you get different beneficial strains from each one.
Metagenics Ultra Flora Children
This is a professional line (and this specific probiotic is tailored for children). I really look up to this brand a lot, as their products are well-respected in the marketplace.
Fish Oils for Eczema
NutraSea Omega 3
I have been using this product ever since the flare up, and I still take Omega 3’s regularly on a daily basis. It provides a source of healthy fats to help nourish the skin, reduce inflammation, and heal the gut.
Digestive Enzymes for Eczema
NOW Foods Super Enzymes:
This is my absolute favourite one that I use on most days (when needed) to help support my digestion – especially since poor digestion is linked to poor gut health (which in turn will contribute to eczema).
Vitamin D for Eczema
Thorne Research Vitamin D
Three-quarters of people are Vitamin D deficient, and Vitamin D deficiency can trigger eczema flare ups. Start with a good Vitamin D supplement like this one. I use this product from September – May from Fall to Spring every year when there’s less sun outside. I love this product because the ingredients are clean.
Sunscreen for Eczema
Badger Baby Sunscreen (SPF 30):
Don’t get fooled by the word “baby” in it – even adults can use it too! (the ingredients in the regular adult sunscreen and the baby sunscreen are practically the same). When I worked at the health food store, I compared the brands and this was my favourite one. This sunscreen contains non-nano Zinc Oxide (which is awesome!) to protect you from both UVA & UVB rays using USDA Certified Organic ingredients. It is water & sweat resistant for 40 minutes, biodegradable, and it’s also been recommended by the Environmental Working Group. I love the ingredients in it and it’s also packaged in a BPA and Phthalate-free tube.
Toothpaste for Eczema
Redmond Clay Toothpaste:
I surprisingly get asked for toothpaste recommendations a lot. When I worked at the health food store, this was the toothpaste with the cleanest ingredients that I’ve ever found! And of course, it doesn’t foam like regular toothpaste since it doesn’t contain SLS (which is good)
Laundry Detergent for Eczema
Planet 2X Ultra Laundry Detergent
A hypoallergenic laundry detergent that is rated with a grade A rating by EWG (Environmental Working Group – which is a database that rates how clean or toxic a product is). This brand also has anall-purpose spray cleaner that also has a grade A rating as well.
SmartKlean Laundry Ball for Sensitive Skin

This is an eczema safe laundry detergent alternative, eco-friendly, free of harsh chemicals and fragrance, gentle on the skin, and detergent free. One ball lasts through 365 washes! It costs approximately $.13 per load. it leaves zero residue behind like other detergents do.
Dishwashing Liquid for Eczema
Planet Ultra Dishwashing Liquid:
A hypoallergenic dishwashing liquid that is rated with a grade A rating by EWG (Environmental Working Group – which is a database that rates how clean or toxic a product is). This brand also has anall-purpose spray cleaner that also has a grade A rating as well.
Hand Soap for Eczema
Dr. Bronner’s Organic Pump Soap
I’m a huge fan of Dr. Bronner’s. They’re one of the most natural products I’ve ever found. This one, in particular, states that it can even be used for the hand, face, body, and hair!
Pajama Clothing for Eczema
Comfymitt Top for Adults – 100% Organic Cotton
If you’re scratching a lot – these PJ’s can possibly help! These pajama’s help prevent scratching with soft, cotton protective mittens. They’re mid-weight cotton so that it doesn’t get too hot. There’s also a double layer of protection around the hands/wrists. This can also work well as a dry layer over wet wraps.
Comfymitt Top and Pants for Kids – 100% Organic Cotton
These pajama tops are suitable for kids in order to help prevent scratching and protect the skin from additional irritation. You can also match them with the pajama bottoms. These bottoms allow for enclosed toes and feet to prevent additional scratching. They can also work well as a dry layer over wet wraps.
Wet Wrapping for Eczema
Wet Wraps for Eczema Relief (for Adults and Children)
Eczema wet wrap therapy provides intense moisture and quick healing. There are different types of clothing for wet wrapping therapy, such as pants, bands, shirts, caps, and body suits. These particular wet wrap bands/sleeves are made with soft, breathable, stretchy fabric, so that you can easily place the band on the area that you need it most. It can also be worn under regular clothing. Worn wet or dry, these eczema wraps will offer relief from itchy skin for young children to adults. Ideal for dry or wet wrapping elbows, forearms, upper arms, behind the the knees, calves, and thighs. These can also be use for eczema, psoriasis, allergic contact dermatitis, and dermatomyositis (and are sold as a pair).
Stress Reduction Products for Eczema
Epsom Salts:
This has honestly been a life saviour for me. If it’s one thing I can’t live without these days – it’s this. It’s relaxing and healing. When I went to Italy, I ate so poorly that my skin turned dry and red. I soaked in this when I got back, and there was instant healing. In fact, every time I use this, my skin heals more! I love epsom salts, and I can’t live without ’em.
Lavender Essential Oil:
I use this as an essential oil to help relax. Just dab some on your pillow (to help you sleep) or add a few drops to your bath (e.g. dead sea salt bath or epsom salt bath). It helps with stress and helps you relax. Or sometimes if I’m stressed, I’ll smell some of it, and it helps calm my body down.
Book: Stress Free for Good:
In general, learning to cope with stress is key, especially when you’re going through a flare up. Let this book help you find a way to reduce your stress so that you can feel better overall.
Bible (it’s FREE!):
The Bible was my saviour every single year when I was going through multiple eczema flare ups. When life was hardest, this gave me hope, faith, and picked me back up. I’m not sure what your beliefs are – but God played an important part in picking me up, and the verses in this book gave me faith to conquer the world again.
Kitchen Tools
Nutribullet:
Need to incorporate more veggies and fruits into your diet? Using the Nutribullet (or any blender) is a great way! See my Nutribullet review here. It keeps the fiber as well so it’s great for helping to eliminate toxins in your body.
Omega Nutrition NC 800 Juicer:
I recently started juicing, and I use this juicer every single day. It’s a bit pricey – but every penny is worth it. It juices at a lower speed than blending, so that it retains more nutrients. I watched a lot of YouTube videos to find the best juicer – and this was one of the best ones on the market for a “decent” price. I don’t discard the leftover pulp from my juice either – I make it into crackers or add it to vegetable broth. The extra fiber has definitely been helping me eliminate toxins quicker!
Other Products
Dry Skin Brush
Moving your lymphatic system is incredibly important in helping to push toxins out of your body. Often, people with eczema have issues with elimination. By brushing your skin daily, this will help your lymphatic system move the toxins out and exfoliate your skin as well (just avoid brushing on any areas with eczema).

NOTE
With regards to the products I use, as I always say, whatever you put onto your skin will get absorbed into your blood. Make sure that the products you put onto your body are high quality, natural, and won’t irritate your skin. Many mainstream products that claim they are for eczema can contain ingredients that may irritate your skin in the long run. Not every product will work for everyone – so try out different products and find one that will work best for your skin and your eczema.
