I’m so happy to share Nathalie’s story of how her skin healed. It’s so amazing how our skin can heal once we remove the offenders from our lives 🙂

I reached out to Abby for the first time back in December. I was in a really bad place, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and of course physically.
My eczema had flared up during my pregnancy (inflamed, dry, flaky).
I didn’t know how I could go on living in my skin anymore and caring for a newborn. I couldn’t shower, sleep, move without feeling itchy or pain from scratching. The Lord really kept me during that time.
My husband and I did a lot of research. I tried elimination diet, along with Candida diet, supplements etc.
I’m not sure if everything worked together to bring me where I am now, but I know one thing is for sure is that I hadn’t experience such relief since cutting out bananas, which is a fruit I was eating a lot during my pregnancy (every morning).
I know it sounds so simple, but I had no idea I was allergic to them.
It turns out that due an allergy to latex, eating or touching certain foods can cause allergic reaction as it would to latex, which is what was going on with me.
The swelling went down, the rashes disappeared, the itchiness went away, and I’m not flaky anymore. My mind has been healing too.
Slowly, I’m getting back into showering more often and sleeping. I’m able to work around my home again and enjoy my family. And most importantly, I’m delighting myself in the Lord again.
There’s still healing to go through, as my doctor found somethings off with my thyroid, so we are looking into that. And I’m seeing an allergist. But compared to where I was, I feel great again.
I wanted to personally thank you for making yourself available to us.
I always knew I couldn’t wear latex dishwashing gloves because my hands would get really red, itchy, and sometimes cuts afterwards, but I didn’t think that certain foods can cause a reaction and respond as if it were latex.

And I struggled with my hands for a while before I became pregnant, just never knew it could have been bananas. I had no idea what it was. I would cut them up every morning into my oatmeal. I think it just became more severe during pregnancy.
I know that everyone’s journey is so different but I do hope my story can point someone to their direction towards healing.
