It’s so encouraging to read!
Lyly’s healing story
“My skin is on the mend but not 100% yet. I just want to share that it is possible and don’t give up. Believe and have faith in your bodies ability to heal itself. So just wanted to share my progress with others in hope it inspires you to keep moving forward.
I feel the biggest struggle I had was loving myself. When I was most vulnerable I would let my eczema define me and only saw the negative. But once I let go of that, I learned to love myself and appreciate every cell in my body.
I believe it was a combination of things. I am on supplements including primrose oil, fish oil, zinc, vitamin d and a gut repair that has prebiotic.
On top of that, I eliminated foods from my diet but I wasn’t 100% strict for over month or more. Any foods from Abby recommended list and anything I was sensitive to or had reacted to in the past.
Also a shift in mindset. I had to believe that my body could heal itself even though I didn’t see the results. This was hard but I persisted. I kept telling myself even during the worse times that I was beautiful and I love every cell in my body.”
Navya’s healing story
“Hey everyone, I’m from India and I’m 17 years old. I had eczema from infancy, it turned severe 4 years ago. Last year, I decided to get rid of my eczema before my 17th birthday. I was insecure about the way my skin looked so I tried everything, except the diet initially (giving up my favourite foods didn’t seem like an option), but as it got worse and I was not able to attend school because of it, I was on heavy steroids for the last few years.
One day, frustrated, I decided that that I am going to do the diet. It was difficult initially and TSW was not pleasant but trust me, the way life has changed makes it all worth it. I’m a much more confident and happy person now. It took a good 5 months of the diet for me and I just took a vitamin D3 and vit C supplement.
Try figuring out all the things that could probably affect your skin. I personally use only natural products now. Castor oil and coconut oil are my favs. Shea butter does a good job too. I eliminated sugar, dairy, soy and gluten from my diet. I love to use honey on my face eczema (it’s magic).
Everyone just keep in mind ,your body has amazing capabilities to heal itself just give it time, be patient and keep fighting
P.s. I did get rid of it before my 17th birthday.
All thanks to Abby!?” .
Rachelle’s healing story
“Hey all! I just wanted to show you what I’m going through and how much better I am now! I have battled eczema on my hands for 5 years. After the birth of my daughter my eczema flared up so bad that I couldn’t even open jars in my kitchen or wear my wedding rings. I was in constant pain and embarrassed about the way my hands looked. It was also all over my chest, legs, up my arms and on my eye lids. Sometimes I was so itchy I couldn’t sleep well at night.
Then I came across Abby’s website and blog. Abby you have given me so much knowledge and encouragement! Thank you! I’ve been on the elimination diet for 1 month (and lots of vitamins) these are the before and after pictures, but I’m still learning. I’m still not finished this battle, but I hope this encourages people! I’m super excited about this 30 day challenge so I can keep fighting! Never give up!” ??
